There is a quote that states, “A veteran is a person who at one point in his or her life wrote a blank check to the United States of America for up to and including his or her life.” That is the courage and dedication they strive to honor with this garden. The inclusive design charette, planning and design process was a collaboration with several landscape architectural firms. The honor garden design includes walkways with plaques, memorial wall, two water features, shade structure, gathering and event space, sanctuary, military flags, benches, fencing and gates, outdoor sound system, drought tolerant plant materials, water conserving irrigation system and lighting.
