Balancing historic preservation and recreational needs was achieved by assessing the significance and integrity of the historic resources…
The City of Carlsbad selected this skilled team of specialists for their expertise and knowledge of historic properties. Coastal Sage Landscape Architecture designed the site for park users, to create event and celebration space and to preserve and educate the public about this significant history of the ranch. The cultural landscape reconstruction included segments of the historic corral and arena fencing, access compliant with ADA requirements, pathways and steps, site lighting, boulders and hitching post and also the concept layout of benches, amphitheater and accessible routes.
